But don't be fooled, it’s not only on Thursdays that this square comes to life! On Wednesday and Saturday mornings, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., the square transforms into a bustling market where locals come to do their weekly shopping.

Thursday evening market: From 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., between spring and autumn, the Thursday evening market invites you to a convivial and tasty stroll. The stalls are overflowing with local products, glasses clink to toast reuniting friends, and the festive atmosphere will remind you of sweet Mediterranean summer evenings. It is the moment of the week when the Place du Marché becomes the must-visit spot for Carouge locals and visitors alike to celebrate the week that has passed.

Wednesday and Saturday markets: Although the atmosphere is different from that of Thursday evening, the Wednesday and Saturday morning markets are not to be outdone. From 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., the square awakens to the sound of vendors setting up their stalls, animated discussions over fresh products, and the laughter of children running between the aisles. It is the ideal time to do your shopping, discover local specialties, and enjoy the morning bustle of Carouge.

The Carouge Flea Market: An essential monthly appointment! Are you a treasure hunter or simply a Sunday stroller? Look no further for your next destination! Every first Sunday of the month, from March to December, the Place du Marché in Carouge comes alive and transforms into a true treasure trove of discoveries.
