No, it is imperative to start with Volume I. The story flow and gameplay have been designed so that the two volumes are played in order. In addition, at the end of Volume I, you will be given a word, and this will be necessary to unlock and play Volume II.
No, you do not have to play the same day of purchase. Once you have made your reservation, you will receive an email containing playing instructions, a login ID and a password to access your game. These codes and passwords are valid for life. This means that if you plan to play tomorrow at 2 p.m. and the weather unfortunately does not support you, the codes remain valid if you have not yet used them.
